Sanjay Dutt - Salman Khan war just got hotter

It seems Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt’s friendship has gone kaput. It is believed that the two actors are not in talking terms. Interestingly, Salman who is busy in campaigning for all his friends is not supporting Sanjay.

By campaigning for Sanjay’s sister Priya Dutt, Salman has proved that he is no more friends with Sanjay. Interestingly during his campaign Salman has always said that he is supporting his friends and good people. Does that mean Sanjay is not his friend anymore? Ahem!

When asked about it, Dharam Oberoi Business Manager of Sanjay Dutt informed that Sanjay didn’t approach Salman or anyone to campaign for him. He quickly replied, “No he hasn’t and he will never do that as Sanjay himself is a big star and he doesn’t need any actor to campaign for him.”

It can be recalled that Salman refused to be part of Sanjay’s home production film which rubbed him the wrong side. Since then the once good friends have swapped all ties!

Maanyata will just be a housewife: Sanjay Dutt

Immediately after the courts declined Sanjay Dutt the opportunity to contest the Lok Sabha elections the Samajwadi Party leaders got into a huddle and decided Sanjay’s wife Maanyata should take his place in the Lucknow constituency. To everyone’s surprise it was Sanjay Dutt who vetoed the idea. Says a very reliable source, “The party heads were very clear on Mrs Maanyata Dutt’s candidacy after Mr Dutt was out of the fray. Surprisingly it was Sanjay Dutt who shot down the idea. For the first time Sanjay dodged his political mentor Amar Singhji’s advice and very firmly declared that his wife won’t be any part of politics.” According to the source Sanjay is very clear on his wife’s role and function.In fact Sanjay wasn’t too keen on his sister Priya entering politics either and had advised her against it. Says the source, “He married Maanyata because he wanted a woman who could look after his home. Maanyata too is very happy to be what the couple calls a ‘working housewife’ who looks after every aspect of Sanjay’s life from the domestic to the business side. Maanyata handles everything from the food that Sanjay eats, to the clothes that he wears to the friends that he meets to the films that he chooses. Frankly, Sanjay Dutt panicked at the thought of his wife stepping out into the political arena.” When Maanyata’s name came up at the emergency meeting Dutt took his political mentor aside and explained that a political career for his wife was not what he had in mind. “To his credit Amar Singh completely understood Sanjay’s point of view and decided not to pursue the matter any further, ”says the source. Maanyata’s name as a substitute to Sanjay’s candidature was dropped immediately…But not before Maanyata too made it clear that she was thoroughly in agreement with her husband on his refusal to let her enter politics. Says the source, “Maanyata personally called up Amar Singh and excused herself from getting into the rajneeti fray. She told him she was more than happy being Mrs Sanjay Dutt and to look after his home. His political career, she said, would look after itself.” The Samajwadi Party has now chalked out a political plan of action for Sanjay Dutt wherein the actor will remain actively involved with the party politics without contesting the elections.

Sanjay Dutt ready to leave Mumbai!

Sanjay Dutt is taking politics very seriously.

He is temporarily planning to move from Mumbai to Lucknow.

He clearly knows that politics is a full time occupation and a house in Lucknow would make it easier for him to campaign for the elections.

He has, in fact, narrowed down on two properties in the centre of the city with full modern facilities. He’s now waiting for Manyata to agree.

Apparently, she wants to move into some purani haveli instead of a big house.

We know by now that lady Dutt’s decision will be final!

Sanjay Dutt is SP's LS candidate from Lucknow

Bollywood film star Sanjay Dutt will be the Samajwadi Party candidate to contest the next Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow, the party announced here Thursday. Party general secretary Amar Singh told reporters that if Dutt was disallowed from contesting the elections because of the criminal cases against him, the party would move the Election Commission or the Supreme Court. "Dutt told me you are like my elder brother. He said he would do anything I ask him to though he said he was not a political person, " Singh said. The constituency is currently represented by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

A new look for Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Kapoor

Designer Shabina Khan has designed a special new look for Sanjay Dutt and Kunal Kapoor who play the lead strars of Rahul Dholakia's (Parzania) next, Lamha. The film is reportedly a mature love story and is being extensively shot in Kashmir and deals about various subjects and issues including army, terrorism, Kashmiri Pandits mass exodus etc. Sanjay Dutt's role in the film is that of an undercover cop. Shabina has given Sanju a new look that's absolutely stunning. Dutt has been made to looks raw and very rough and tough just like the way undercover cops look. Kunal Kapoor plays a Pathan in the film. Shabina has stylized his look and costumes accordingly. Shabina did a research on the Pathan. Also with the kind of look that Kunal has, Shabina's costumes gel very well with his tall personality. Anupam Kher plays a freedom fighter in the film. Director Rahul Dholakia says "It is too early to talk about the look right now but yes the film is based on Kashmir and will throw light on different issues ranging from terrorists, the army, the displaced Kashmiri pundits and the locals. Bipasha plays a fundamentalist and she would also do a lot of stunts in the film."

Kashmir's Mirwaiz Umer Farooq invites Sanju and party for lunch

The cultural assimilation of Kashmir into India just got a little easier. In what could be considered a historic move to make Bollywood feel welcome in the troubled Valley, the Mirwaiz (official spiritual leader) Umer Farooq invited producer Bunty Walia for tea to his residence on Sunday afternoon, assuring the anxious producer that the Valley is open to Mumbai's cinema re-consolidating itself as a cultural centre. And now the entire cast of Bunty Walia's Lamhaa including Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu and Kunal Kapoor have been invited for lunch to the Mirwaiz's residence. In the light of the troubled recession in the Valley of the Dal, this invitation from the spiritual leader who has the entire Kashmir Valley supporting his ideology, Walia's interaction with the Mirwaiz acquires huge creative and commercial ramifications. Says the excited producer, "My tea invitation wuth the Mirwaiz went off really well. He turned out to be an intelligent and articulate man with a great knowledge of our cinema." The Mirwaiz spoke to Walia of the great love that the people in the Valley have for Bollywood and how it can be renewed vigorously. Says Walia, "Though the Mirwaiz doesn't have any favourites he said people in the Valley love Bollywood stars and movies. He was happy to know Lamhaa would bring such a large Mumbai crew to Kashmir." Sanjay Dutt and Co's lunch with the Mirwaiz is expected to be fixed as soon as the unit catches its breath in the Valley. "We hope to take up his invitation in the next two weeks, " promises Walia as the rest of his unit sigh in relief after having secured supreme protection by the top-most spiritual leader in the Valley.
