Ranbir gets nervous being seduced

Co-star feels he was just acting!

Ranbir Kapoor was pretty nervous while shooting for an intimate scene with Kashmeera Shah on the sets of “Wake Up Sid”.

According to unit members, Ranbir’s nervousness was quite apparent on the sets. He kept goofing up while shooting and the director had to call for ‘cut’ several times. Finally the scene was okayed after many retakes.

While Kashmeera is shown as a confident and bold woman in the movie, Ranbir plays an innocent guy. In the scene Kashmeera is shown wearing low-waist pants and wants to seduce Ranbir.

While Kashmeera agreed that Ranbir was nervous and uncomfortable, she felt that he was just acting!

Meanwhile, Ranbir had another unusual experience when he went dining out with girlfriend Deepika Padukone.

While he and girlfriend Deepika were at Taj Land’s End for a dinner, fans went up only to Deepika to take her autograph and photos and completely ignored Ranbir!

The reason being that nobody recognised Ranbir as he has grown a beard and a moustache to play a Sikh character in Shimit Amin’s film “Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year”.

We wonder whether Ranbir was happy that his makeover is successful or upset that his girlfriend hogged all the attention.

Ranbir Kapoor declined to perform live at the 10th IIFA awards in Macau

Ranbir Kapoor seems hellbent on not making the mistakes his father did (signing on any and every film at the peak of stardom). Lucrative roles including Kabir Khan's New York and Jehangir Surti's Aa Dekhe Zara have been declined instantly by this fastidious actor.

Now Ranbir has said no to an obscene amount of money (reportedly close to Rs 2 crore) offered to him to perform live at the 10th IIFA awards in Macau arguing that he wasn't prepared to face a live audience yet.

According to a close friend, "Ranbir has decided he will go on stage only when he has a proper and solid body of songs to perform to. After his debut in Saawariya, Ranbir was flooded with offers to perform live. He excused himself saying he wasn't ready.

This year again Ranbir has declined all invitations to perform at award events including IIFA saying he isn't ready to go on stage yet."

IIFA director Sabbas Joseph says, "I respect that. If Ranbir feels he is not ready for the stage, that says a lot about him. Hopefully he'll make his stage debut with us next year."

Ranbir Kapoor travelled to Karjat to meet his girlfriend Deepika Padukone

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. But Ranbir Kapoor doesn't seem to believe in the adage. The actor couldn't wait to see his girlfriend Deepika Padukone and travelled all the way to Karjat to meet her.

Deepika, who is shooting for Karthik Calling Karthik with Farhan Akhtar in Karjat, was in for a pleasant surprise. Without letting her know, Ranbir decided to land up on the set and surprise her. A source reveals, "Ranbir was shooting for Rocket Singh within city limits.

Since Deepika has been holed up in Karjat, the two didn't get enough time to spend with each other. Hence, Ranbir decided to visit Deepika. That way, the two would get to spend some quality time during their journey back to the city."

The source adds, "Deepika was on cloud nine when she saw Ranbir. She's always on the phone with him in between shots. Contrary to rumours, everything is great between the two and they are madly in love with each other. However since Deepika is busy with her film and ad endorsements, the last few weeks the two lovebirds hadn't met each other for long."

Rrevealed: Ranbir Kapoor`s new bearded look

Ranbir Kapoor was trying hard to hide his new look from the public and media glare but well it finally got revealed on election day on Thursday April 30th in Mumbai. It was reported that Ranbir was growing a beard for Yash Raj Films’ Shimit Amin (Chak De India and Ab Tak Chappan) directed Rocket Singh since he is playing the role of a Sikh character. He didn’t intended to expose his new look to everyone so soon and kill the curiosity surrounding his ‘hatke’ venture. Apparently, according to media reports Ranbir even backed off from performing at an International film awards function as that would mean his look would be seen across the globe. But well when poor Ranbir went on to exercise his right of voting to a Pali Hill polling station, the present media literally had him making a quick exit since he didn't want to be caught on camera for a long time. His efforts ended in vain as the present electronic media just didn't allow him an easy escape and thus he got caught on camera But he kept walking hastily as the TV journalists were asking him questions. Ranbir-Deepika, only good for films

The speculation about the state Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s relationship continues.

Days after Ranbir Kaboor reportedly criticised Deepika’s dress sense in public and mother Neetu Singh passed her off as just a friend, it’s now the hero’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who refuses to acknowledge the couple.

“Ranbir and Deepika are young, talented people and are quite poised and charming,” says Riddhima. When questioned about whether she accepts the two as more than friends, Riddhima says, “They make a good on-screen pair and their chemistry is fine.” But what about their off-screen romance? “I’ve never seen them together in that sense, so I don’t go by the media reports. Moreover, I stay in Delhi and don’t want to comment on this.”

Ranbir overtakes Saif and Kareena by 18 crores

Two-film-old Ranbir Kapoor should be feeling quite proud of himself. The young actor’s latest film has a budget which exceeds Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s next film by 18 crores. Ranbir’s Wake Up Sid as well as Saif and Kareena’s Jehaad are both being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

WAKE Up Sid is a romance set in Mumbai revolving around a good looking young man (Ranbir Kapoor) who falls for an older, simple woman (Konkona Sen Sharma), who is a writer from Kolkata. A source from the production team says, “The film’s budget was initially 80 crores but due to the recent market condition, it was reduced to 60 crores. Hopefully, the film will release in October this year.”

As for Renzil D'Silva’s Jehaad, starring Saif and Kareena, a source says that it has an estimated budget of 42 crores. The source adds, “The film, based on terrorism, revolves around an Indian woman (Kareena Kapoor) who marries and moves to the US. Later, she finds out that her husband is a part of a terrorist group. It will release this year.”

The news is surprising as Saif and Kareena are considered the hottest pair in Bollywood right now and they are the most expensive brand as a couple. In addition to this, Saif has appeared in 50 films and Ranbir’s cousin, Kareena, has done 38 films. But Dharma Productions doesn’t seem to think these are good enough reasons to splurge on Jehaad’s budget.

Rumours doing the rounds that establish Karan’s high hopes for Wake Up Sid are that he has given the distribution rights of the film to UTV Motion Pictures, making it an exception as all his previous films have always been distributed by Yash Raj.
