Hrithik Roshan has been visiting hospitals. No, the actor isn't unwell. It's part of his preparation for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, where he plays a paraplegic. A source reveals that Hrithik makes his visit late nights, so he doesn't get noticed. Apparently, the suburban hospital that he's visiting has given him special access to a ward that has patients suffering from the same syndrome.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who failed to hit pay dirt with a love story like Saawariya in 2007, is planning a Black-like hit with his next film Guzaarish.

In this, just as he had a visually impaired Rani Mukherji deliver an outstanding performance opposite Amitabh Bachchan at his impressive best in Black, Bhansali has Hrithik Roshan playing a wheelchair bound paraplegic opposite Aishwarya Bachchan.

Black was as much a box office success as it was critically acclaimed for the sheer boldness of its script and the depth of the relationship between a blind Rani and an alcoholic Bachchan. Hrithik has played a mentally challenged boy in papa Rakesh Roshan’s Koi Mil Gaya, but being physically handicapped on screen, will be his first experience. Hrithik Roshan seems to be in a sombre mood of late. The actor was busy shooting for an ad in Singapore when his dancing inspiration Michael Jackson passed away. Of course, the actor grieved deeply. Hrithik adored the King of Pop. And when we called him up, there was little he could say. “It’s unbelievable, it hasn’t yet sunk it!” he told us. “He was an inspiration to every entertainer. People wanted to become dancers just by watching Michael Jackson him perform. ‘Thriller’ was my absolute favourite, and still is... ”

Hrithik Roshan’s sister, Sunaina, shared with us, “Hrithik has been a die-hard fan of Michael Jackson since he was a child. Hrithik must be 8-9 years old when he used to imitate Jackson’s moonwalk. I remember the moment ‘Thriller’ used to play Hrithik used to be up doing a Michael Jackson. It was Michael Jackson’s music videos that introduced Hrithik to western dancing. Hrithik used to do a Michael Jackson whichever party he went to.”

A love story that crosses borders and linguistic barriers, Kites is a tale of romance between an Indian guy and a Mexican beauty.

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in lead roles, the movie is directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Rakesh Roshan .

Kites is about an Indian boy’s romantic affair with a Latino girl and their predicament as they do not understand each other’s language.

Hrithik plays a salsa teacher in "Kites". Kangana plays a very rich girl and is shown as Hrithik’s dance student. The story is set in Las Vegas. In the course of learning Salsa from him, she falls madly in love with him. But then a twist in the tale takes place and the romantic story takes a thriller turn.

Barbara Mori plays a Spanish girl who speaks only in Spanish which Hrithik can’t speak a word of. So he speaks to her in Hindi and yet the two communicate and fall madly in love. But then something happens that forces the two to split and that’s where Kangana steps in.

The film has some breath-taking dances from Hrithik, Barbara and Kangana. The choreography in these songs is by Flexy Stu, a renowned American choreographer. For one song shot in Mumbai, Farah Khan did the choreography.

Hrithik’s 'Kites' to release in December

The much-talked about Hrithik Roshan starrer "Kites" is scheduled for December release and producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu have also agreed on how different the English and Hindi versions of the film would be.

The supposed steamy scenes between Hrithik and his co-star Barbara Mori would be the same in both versions.

"We can't cheat Hindi audiences. The so-called steamy scenes will be the same in both versions. The visuals will remain unchanged in both. There won't be anything radically different in the two versions because Hrithik and Barbara speak English-Hindi and Spanish, respectively in both English and Hindi," Basu told IANS.

Also there would be voice-overs in Hindi and English, both done by Hrithik whose love story the film chronicles in a style that would recall David Lean's "Brief Encounter" and K. Balachander's "Ek Duuje Ke Liye".

About being designated the director of the decade at International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Macau, Rakesh Roshan said: "I'm flattered. There were other truly deserving directors in the reckoning. I must've done something right."

Hrithik Roshan is working on a new look for Welcome To The Jungle

Hrithik Roshan will be seen in a brand new avatar for Sanjay Khan's production Welcome To The Jungle.

The film is an adventure tale set in the jungle and will have Hrithik and Zayed in the lead roles. As per sources, Hrithik plays the role of a wildlife explorer and will be seen wearing khaki shorts throughout the film. Sanober Kabir's brother Farukh will direct the project.

The film will be shot extensively in the jungles and will also have the requisite special effects. The source reveals "Hrithik won't be seen wearing designer clothes in the film and his image will cater to his younger audience especially kids."

It is believed that before the shooting commences, Hrithik will cut his hair, which he had grown long for Kites and will also work out on his lower body.

"Since he's wearing shorts, Hrithik will be exposing his legs for most of the movie. Hence, he plans to give more stress on bulking up his legs and doing exercises that will make them bigger."

The actor's character will also be quite comical and Sanjay Khan is taking a personal interest in the script. "They plan to start shooting by this year-end."

Hrithik Roshan as Jesus Christ

Not since Mel Gibson cast James Caviezel as Jesus in his 2004 film The Passion of The Christ, has there been any comparison between an actor and the Lord.

But now several Latin American distributors, who saw the international version of Rakesh Roshan’s Kites, are stunned by Hrithik’s resemblance to Jesus Christ in the film.

It’s been two weeks since the Bollywood film was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, but the buzz around it still continues at the French Riviera. And, another thing, if the Mexican actress Barbara Mori has taken Bollywood by storm, Hrithik has done the same thing in Latin America. Foreign distributors were reportedly taken up by the searing intensity in his eyes, his lithe frame and Adonis-like tan. Some of them were heard commenting that Hrithik would be the ideal actor to play Christ in a western production.

Rakesh Roshan, who was present at Cannes, admits there was huge excitement among the foreign distributors who saw his international trailer. “A lot of people did mention that Hrithik’s looks are suited for the western market. But I didn’t catch the comment on him bearing a resemblance to Christ,’’ Rakesh said. “It was not possible for me to keep track of everything said and heard.’’

Meanwhile, B-Town buzz has it that the company taking care of Hrithik’s business interests is in Hollywood hooking up with an internationally renowned casting agency that will source out scripts for the Bollywood hottie. Will Hrithik give in to temptation and fly westwards? Guess he will if Kites rises to dizzying heights.

Looks like it's a deliberate move by the IIFA to rope in Zayed Khan, knowing that the Khan family (including the Late. Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan and Hrithik Roshan) is always known for their fashion and style. (laughs) You can either say a deliberate move or a smart move. There is a certain comfort I have with the management of IIFA and there is a certain trust they have in me. It's a big event. It's a grand event this year where they want to show off, and we want to take this opportunity and let them show off. We thought that it's the yellow, pink or the green season with summer almost coming to an end. You're sporting a dapper pine striped lavender jacket with a purple tie and white jeans. You've changed things. There are these critical fashion fluxes that keep happening every year and you just take that into consideration and you make your own fashion statement as you go. Yes, it is about pastel colours, it is about cigarette jeans, tapered looks, bondish and fitting stuff. But then you must have the physique and a body for that otherwise it looks terrible. I mean, you and me could carry it off (laughs). I never really look at the colours. It's a woman thing. Men like the sharp cut in anything they wear and if they get that, just about any colour would do. What I'm wearing now is a Manav Gangwani creation. Recall you first instance in life when you walked the ramp. I was terrible in school and college. I was called Pizza face. I was very thin. I was a good sportsman. The only thing I can recall was during my school days when we had a play called 'Aladin' where I played the title role (laughs). That was my first ever time I was on stage. That was really nostalgic. But I did walk the ramp last year for the IIFA Bangkok for my film Mission Istanbul. But the first time I walked the ramp ever was for my sister Farah Khan for her accessories she had showcased. After that I've walked for many designers like Vikram Phadnis, Manav Gangwani, Rocky S, etc. You fond of the colour pink? You know what, Manav wanted me to wear a pink shirt. I said, "Manav, I'm not a homosexual. I'm not going to wear a pink shirt because it's just not me." He somehow convinced me to wear that shirt and a jacket on top which I wore during my sisters ten year re-union wows and I can't tell you the good reviews I got from the hot babes present for the occasion (laughs). Sorry Mrs Zayed Khan, but you have to appreciate beauty (laughs). As long as I was getting compliments from women, it works for me. Two of your family members, Hrithik Roshan and wife Suzanne Roshan are going to walk the ramp showcasing Farah, your sisters accessories. What's their style like? I can just say one thing, "Lucky him to have Suzanne", and he knows that. Duggu knows that Suzanne really helps him out in his style quotient. Hrithik has got an outstanding body and everything falls in the right place for him when he wears a shirt or jeans or a t-shirt or a suit. He is a very simple guy. If there is one fashion guru who got the western influence in the Indian Film Industry, it is the Late Mr Feroz Khan. Do you agree with me? I totally agree with you. Feroz cha was the quintessential James Bond, Cow Boy, everything. He was a real macho man. If I had to quote him, he once said, "Son, I'm a man amongst men and even better amongst women." That was his demeanour in life. He would go to the extent of wearing a cow-boy hat with his kurta too. You can't beat his style. He was the one along with Dev Anand saab who brought the western influence into Bollywood. The whole fun element started coming in after Qurbani released. Before that of course, it was Dev saab too who was responsible to some extent. I think that's where Fardeen got it from. If you were given a chance to dress up Andre, Viraf and Sabbas, the three Wiz kids, for the big night in Macau, how would you do your job? Wow! Firstly, Andre and Viraf looked like brothers to me. I even thought that Andre Timmins was a Parsi because he has got those looks. But both of them have always looked good in their suits. Same with Sabbas. He is the senior most Wiz kid and for that I'll dress up all of them in their black suits with white shirt and a thin white tie with shiny black shoes, and there they will grace the red carpet, the men in black.

Sensuality and Kiss in Kites are not meant to titillate: Rakesh Roshan

Actor-turned filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who openly admits that he would love to work with his superstar son Hrithik in every film of his, says their latest offering "Kites" may have made news for its sensuous scenes, but the sensuality is "not meant to titillate". "The sensuality is not worked into the film to unnecessarily titillate or cater to any specific audiences. 'Kites' is a love story, so the sensuality depicted in the film goes well with it. I'm not catering to any particular audience. I'm making a universal film for a global audience of all age groups, " Rakesh Roshan told in interview. Roshan senior added that rumours of an affair between Hrithik and Mexican actress Barbara Mori during the making of the film did not bother him as he knew they were completely "baseless". He said Anurag Basu was roped in to direct "Kites", a joint venture between FilmKraft and BIG Pictures, because they shared similar "sensibilities and vision". The filmmaker has teamed up with his son many times since Hrithik's debut "Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai" in 2000 and admits that he would love to have him in all his films. "I will always try to have him in all my future projects because he is a complete actor. If you give him any kind of role, he will rise to the challenge and shoulder the responsibility to the T, " Roshan said. Excerpts from the interview: Q: Your films have been far from the sort of sensuality shown in "Kites". Is it an attempt to appeal to a global audience? Q: How disturbed were you with rumours that Barbara had caused a rift between Hrithik and Suzanne? A: Since the rumours were completely baseless they didn't bother me at all. Q: Does 'Kites' have an underlying message about the universality of the language of love? A: 'Kites' is not a preachy film, but, yes, it has a message... that love is a universal language; it crosses all boundaries and is not bound by any constraints. Q: What was the premise behind selecting Anurag Basu to helm the film? A: As I have produced and directed many films I could see immediately that 'Kites' as a film needed a very seasoned and dedicated producer because of the sheer scale of the film. It was then that I decided to take on another director and as I have liked Anurag's work in the past and could see that he and I shared similar sensibilities and vision, I signed him for 'Kites'. Q: Most of your projects after "Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai" have had Hrithik. Do you think your son is your lucky mascot and vice versa? A: My earlier films made without Hrithik were also big hits. I'm glad that since Hrithik has joined me, we have continued with the FilmKraft tradition of delivering well-made hit films. Q: Do you feel your films would no longer be complete without Hrithik? Would you have him in every future project of yours? A: Yes for sure. I will always try to have him in all my future projects because he is a complete actor. Aamir, Akshay, Hrithik nominated for action awards

Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan are in the race to bag the best actor award at the AXN Action Awards.

While Aamir has been nominated for "Ghajini", Akshay is in contention for "Tashan" and Hrithik for "Jodhaa Akbar".

"'Ghajini' is a film that required a lot of aggression that exposes the basic crude emotion of human loss. I'm honoured to be nominated in the best action actor category, as the action in the film is more complex and thought provoking, showcasing anger, vengeance and physical violence," said Aamir in a statement.

In the best actor in a negative role category, the competition is between Imran Khan for "Kidnap", Saif Ali Khan for "Race" and Kay Kay Menon for "Drona".

"'Race' is a thoroughbred action film, complete with flamboyance and panache. I enjoyed performing the stunts and watching the movie evolve into a suave piece of cinema. I am thrilled to be nominated for my role," he said.

Hrithik will pay 45 crore to move out of his father place

Hrithik Roshan is all set to move out from his papa's home. The Roshans, with their daughter Sunaina and her daughter Sonalika have the 8th, 9th, and the 10th floor in (El Palazzo). The actor lives on level nine with his wife Sussanne and their two sons.

According to the real estate source, Sussanne and Hrithik have been house-hunting in Juhu for the last six months. They saw a few properties; including late actor Om Prakash's property and another beachfront plot near Rani Mukerji's house, but they weren't really happy with either place.

An insider reveals, "Now they've finally settled for a huge plot situated on 11th road, Juhu. It is in the same lane as Dharmendra's bungalow. On the plot in discussion stands an old three- storeyed building called Husman. The Roshans will demolish the structure and will erect a bungalow in its place.

The Husman building is nearly 15,000 sq ft. "I hear that the deal has cost Roshan Jr nearly Rs 45 crore," adds the source.

Our realestate source says Sussanne has been doing the legwork for the house. She has been constantly in touch with the estate agents. She'd really liked the sea-facing plot, but because of lack of privacy and also due to security reasons, she decided against the place.

Says a source, "Apparently Hrithik and his dad have been facing problems over many issues including that of Hrithik's growing closeness to Barbara Mori. Rakesh had wanted Sussanne to accompany Hrithik to the Cannes Film Festival this year instead of Barbara Mori but Hrithik had his way.

Hrithik has been staying a floor below his parents in Il Palazzo but right now is feeling stifled by the parental proximity. Hrithik wants to be more independent but hasn't informed his parents about his plans. He wants to finalise the deal and then inform his parents."

While Hrithik remained unavailable for comment Rakesh Roshan initially said, "I don't understand what are you talking about. I simply know that no one is shifting." When informed that Hrithik is on the verge of finalising a 45-crore property deal in Juhu and that he plans to build a new bungalow there, Roshan Sr says, "It's not true."

Deepika in talks to play female lead for Krrish 2

After the release of Kites, Rakesh Roshan will soon start working on Krrish 2. According to well-placed sources, the film is already in the scripting process, with a newer concept. It will feature Hrithik Roshan yet again and Deepika Padukone is being considered for the part of the leading lady.

A source reveals, "After the success of Krrish, the Roshans decided to go ahead with the sequel of the movie. Their first priority was to finish with Kites and then work on Krrish 2. Kites is almost done and is in the post-production stage. Rakesh Roashan's production house FilmKraft is working on Krrish 2. They are at an infant stage and still working on script and the star cast, but it obviously includes Hrithik as the actor."

The source continues, "The layout of the script is ready and it will see Hrithik in a superhero avatar once again. He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World, so naturally the film will be shot extensively at various foreign locations. Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. Like the prequel, this too will have SFX and a big crew of foreign technicians."

It is believed that Papa Roshan is keen to have Deepika for the role opposite Hrithik, as he feels she suits the role perfectly and he was very impressed by her stunts and athletic character in Chandni Chowk To China. When quizzed, Roshan said, "Not thinking of anything till the release of Kites."

In its tenth year, the IIFA Academy has decided to institute a special set of awards to commemorate the last decade of Indian Cinema. On Kangana’s insistence or otherwise, at the IIFA awards in June, Hrithik and Kangana, co-stars of “Kites”, will be waking the red carpet along with producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu.

It seems Kangana was very upset at not been invited to Cannes, where Hrithik, Barbara and Rakesh Roshan walked the red carpet and attended a promotional event for “Kites”.

Till now Kangana, who is said to have a pivotal role in the movie, has been missing from all publicity of “Kites”.

To pacify her, the Roshans are keepting Barbara at a distance and taking Kangana to Macau, where the IIFA awards are being held.

We kissed like real-life couples - Says Hrithik

Hrithik Roshan’s much awaited ‘Kites’ was unveiled at Cannes 2009. The film has Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut as his co-stars. The film has a much talked about lip lock between Hrithik and Barabara. Hrithik says that he was comfortable doing the scene and they did kiss each other in the scene like real lovers.

Hrithik says, “Why are we even talking about kissing? Is that such a big deal? Hasn’t our cinema grown up? Yes, there’re kissing scenes in the film, but nothing to make me squirm. In fact, I’d be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released.”

” ‘Kites’ is a love story. It’s about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact, it was Barbara Mori who made me realise how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally.”

“We were both supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height. Before we did so our director Anurag Basu suggested I kiss Barbara since we were doing something death-defying and dangerous and potentially lethal. I reached out and kissed her on the cheeks.”

“Barbara turned around to ask why I had kissed her on the cheek. ‘Given the same situation with your real-life wife, Suzanne, would you kiss her on the cheek?’ I was floored by her logic.”

“And this time I kissed her the way real-life couples would in the situation. On the lips.”

Hrithik Roshan caught on camera using abusive words

He has just been barely out of his last controversy, and now actor Hrithik Roshan is apparently stuck with another one. He has been caught mouthing tabooed words in a video clip apparently taped by choreographer Flexy Stu. Flexy is choreographing Hrithik in his forthcoming ‘Kites’. The clip shows co-star Kangana Ranaut practising her dance steps with a female assistant of Flexy. Moments later, Hrithik walks in and joins the dance rehearsals. At the video’s end, Flexy pans the camera and introduces Hrithik. In response, the star points towards Flexy and says: “This is the baddest m****r f****r in the world.”

Although the words are not meant to be abusive but in fact introduce Flexy as a tough task master, but sadly it doesn’t go down well with many of us. The two-minute clip has become a hit in the internet world and also offended some of the fans who want the video to be edited or completely removed.

Mystery of Hrithik’s new look

Hrithik recently walked the ramp for Macro Man M-Series, launching their new range of undergarments, but what caught our eye was his new look!

After Bollywood’s biggest superstars donning ponytails - Amitabh Bachchan in Cheeni Kum, Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, Aamir Khan in Mangal Pandey and Salman Khan in Veer - Hrithik’s caught on to the trend a little late. He was seen at the launch with long hair tied back and wearing dark aviator sunglasses. And the look suited him too; he managed to look as suave as usual.

As far as we know, Hrithik has almost finished shooting for his upcoming film Kites and has not yet started to shoot for any other films. So, we wonder what the mystery behind this new look is?

One theory says that the actor is growing his hair for a song that is to be added now.

The actor arrived two hours late to the launch and though he walked the ramp, Hrithik refused to talk to the media, leaving immediately after the event. We presume it’s because he didn’t want to answer any questions about his alleged link up with his Kites costar Barbara Mori.

The actor is currently living with his family in a 5-star hotel while his home is being refurbished.

Hrithik won’t show off his muscles

Fans were this close to seeing his bare chest but Hrithik disappointed them by not tossing his shirt into the audience during the Macro man event.

A source told us that Hrithik was supposed to walk the ramp, toss his shirt into the clueless audience and strut his stuff.

However, last minute problems, made the actor change his mind against pulling of his shirt.

We aren’t happy and neither are his fans!
