Owen Hargreaves and Bebe out of United Champions League squad

The midfielder Hargreaves still not fit to play as he has battle tendinitis in his knee for more than two years, allowing him just one appearance as a substitute in the first team in that period.

Meanwhile, new Portuguese signing Bebe was also overlooked as United surprisingly named a squad of just 24 players when they could have added one more.

Hargreaves and Bebe could be included in a new squad list for the knockout stages if Manchester United make it through from group C which also features Glasgow Rangers, Valencia and Bursaspor.

Added a Strong Squad with Players from Injury Recovery

Manchester United - Manchester united squad will get stronger with time to heal some injured players. Ferdinand , wes brown, Gary Neville and Anderson of the injury was assured would add strength to the team.

Manchester United's veteran midfielder assess the current squad is getting stronger because the recovery of several players who got injured.

"This squad looks to be more resilient," Giggs said on United's official website.

"We've found that Rio Ferdinand could return to play, Neville has not played and Anderson was ready to be lowered. So everything looks good."

Squad List pre-season Tour Manchester United to America

Manchester United will lead a tour to America in mid-July. One game in Canada, while the other three games will be conducted in the United States. MU will start the tour with a face Celtic on July 16. After that, MU will face the Philadelphia Union (July 21), Kansas City Wizards (July 25), and the MLS All Stars (July 28). MU also announced that they will face Guadalajara on July 30.
