A sneek-peak at ‘Blue’ movie

This March we await the release of perhaps the most anticipated and most expensive film of the year with top class cast and crew- ‘Blue’. Based on deep sea diving, the movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif as the principal cast who are out to find the deepest and darkest secrets hidden 250 feet below the ocean.

The film has been directed by debutant director Anthony D’Souza and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. The film, which is India’s first ever underwater film has been shot in the most exotic locales of Bahamas.

Blue has music by double Oscar winner A.R.Rahman and also has Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue rendering two tracks in her voice.

Among the international crew, are Pete Zuccarini, action director James Bomalick, George Peters, and Resul Pookutty.

8 x 10 Tasveer - Preview

After the debacle of his last flick ‘Chandni Chowk To China’, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in a supernatural thriller ‘8 X 10 Tasveer’ directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The other cast members include Ayesha Takia, Sharmila Tagore, Javed Jaffrey, Anant Mahadevan and Piah Shah. The musical notes have been given by none other than the Oscar winner A.R Rahman.

The film is a story about young man named Jai Puri played by Akshay is gifted with special sense, i.e. he can go inside the 8X10 Photograph and enter in the past. While his body remains at nausea state, his soul is busy re-discovering the past, when he is out of his nausea he always has a secret related to someone’s past. His father was murdered, and one day he will witness the same scene from an 8X10 photograph.

Akshay had reportedly gone through some dark writings of Edgar Allan Poe and the 19th century French writer Guy de Maupassant to get into the skin of his role for the film.

Since Akshay wanted to understand the world of mystery and science fiction, he chose to make himself aware of supernatural and mystery thrillers which could help him pull off the role better.

She wants to die in her own country, and so prepares for the inevitable. Having led a western lifestyle, an America-born Roshan is unaware of the sights and sounds, the food and culture, the religion and beliefs that make up Indian society. After arriving in India, he engages with his grandmother's neighbourhood. He soon mixes and becomes part of the community. But little does Roshan know that this jovial and gregarious group of people have another side to them - they have decided to take advantage of Roshan's naive nature. The story is shown against the backdrop of the ancient city of Delhi (which is totally different from New Delhi). The city is almost a character in itself, representing the chaos of India, the people, their religions and their beliefs. The pin code of this old city is 110006. With pride and love they call it Delhi 6. The film puts across a message that we are quick to judge others, without seeing our own weaknesses. When the villagers learn that Sahil was Billo's school friend, they give the barber the respect he craves. But Billo is also unsure on meeting Sahil. Due to his superstar status he fears the star may not recognise him. After many unsuccessful attempts of getting in touch with Sahil, Billo gives up. He is branded a liar by the villagers and his family. But all ends well when Sahil is invited to the village school function. He reveals his past to all present about a close friend he had at school who always stood by him in his hour of need. Whether Sahil manages to meet Billo forms the climax of this comedy drama produced by Shah Rukh Khan. Billo Barber is a remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol and Tamil film, Kuselan. Chandni Chowk To China

Chandni Chowk To China, the first ever Bollywood Kungfu comedy takes you on a madcap Journey from the by- lanes of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, to Shanghai, the Great Wall and rural China, marrying in its wake hilarious gags, breathtaking action, spectacular locations, and heart stirring emotions.

Our protagonist Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is the lowest on the totem pole, cutting vegetables at a roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi.

He longs to escape his dreary existence and looks for shortcuts- with astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs - believing anything except himself, despite his father figure Dada's (Mithun Chakraborty) best efforts.

His redeeming moment arrives when two strangers from China claim him as a reincarnation of a war hero in the past and takes him to China. Sidhu now dreams of wine, women, and a princely existence in foreign lands.

Thanks to the devious translator, a conman by the name Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey), little does he know that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the vicious smuggler Hojo (Gordon Liu)!

Therefore, Sidhu blissfully sets forth to China with Chopstick who instigates dreams of a delicious future and forgets to reveal the perils, which await him.

Initially, Sidhu through a series of lucky coincidences manages to sidestep being beaten by Hojo's men but finally Hojo catches up with him and exposes him as the country buffoon that he really is.
